Three Carolina Masters medalists fill the podium, leaving room only for Boston terrier "Forest."

Emily Shields (gold), Katherine Shields (silver) and Addy Albershardt (bronze).
Lapping the 1/2/3 field, breakaway companions Charlie Brown, Parker McConville and Chris Harkey pull in all three medal spots.

June 15, 2009 - North Carolina Road Race Championship

 

Carolina Masters teammates, Grant McAllister and Kerry Humphrey, take Gold in the 40+ and 35+ Championship events.

 

 

 


 

June 10, 2009 - Traveling Masters take victories in Tennessee and South Carolina

 

Grant McAllister wins 40+ Crit and TT in Johnson City, TN.

Keith Johnson wins the 40 + Crit in Port Royal, SC.

 


 

May 26, 2009 - Team Carolina Masters is a super-charged big block engine.

Carolina Master is proud of Katherine Sheilds (pictured below) who finished 3rd and Emily Shields who finished 4th in the 2009 Duathlon Nationals.  Each of them also received an automatic bid to compete in the 2009 Duathlon Worlds event later on this year.

April 5, 2009 - Rock Hill Old Town Criterium and Patriot's Trail Road Race

 

 

Saturday's solo victory in the shadow of Old Town. Actually, Ryan Jenkins doesn't ride in anyone's shadow.

  Launching his sprint exiting the last turn, Michael Berry wins the 50+ Old Town Crit.

No longer a reason to "work together," Kerry Humphrey powers away from breakaway companions to win the Cat 3 Old Town Crit.

March 23, 2009 - New London Out Like A Lion Road Race & Salisbury City Park Criterium:

 

Results, City Park Criterium

 

On his way to victory, John Patterson pushes the pace thru turn one leading his breakaway companion.

Carolina Masters had an eventful weekend of racing.  The team put together 9 top 5s over two days of racing with John Patterson winning the Masters 45+ City Park Criterium in a photo finish and Keith Johnson placing 2nd in the Masters 35+ City Park Criterium.  Our Juniors had their first full weekend of racing together with Chris Holmes placing 3rd and Austin Wood 5th in the Out Like a Lion Road Race and Emily Shields 5th and Katherine Shields 7th in the City Park Criterium.
